Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier announcing "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players acquire 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning wager, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager is the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus an amount equal to the original bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays out chips equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
